Observational work from my sketchbook and visual development for projects.
One of my favorite aspects of observational drawing is the diary-esq nature of capturing something as you see it, immortalizing it on paper. I picked it up around late 2021, so it's been especially enjoyable to see my improvement over time. My style of observational drawing slightly differs from the norm of still-lifes and colored/painted figures. I instead draw all my surroundings, including my sketchbook, to fully immerse myself in the moment. I'm mainly inspired by artists like Peter Deligdisch, who I first saw do observational drawings like this. This selection of drawings currently ranges from 2023-2023.
